PREFACE: This Privacy Policy (the POLICY) is used to disclose the way in which a-znet.com or an associated organization (the PROVIDER) utilizes personal information of a subscriber (the CLIENT). The PROVIDER recognizes the interests and rights of its CLIENTs to remain anonymous, and to avoid having personal information utilized in unauthorized manners. This POLICY attempts to outline the standard practices of the PROVIDER.
1. LIMITATION OF POLICY: This POLICY is meant as a general overview of the PROVIDER's practices regarding privacy issues. It is not meant as a guarantee that information may be obtained by an outside person or entity in special circumstances, for example, under court order. The PROVIDER makes no claim that information of a personal nature may be obtained by outside persons or entities, only that in the normal course of business, these guidelines will serve as the standard policy our employees and subsidiaries will follow.
2. MODIFICATION OF POLICY: The PROVIDER reserves the right to modify this policy at a later date. If modifications to this POLICY are made, the PROVIDER will post a notification of such changes on the Internet, at http://www.a-znet.com. Changes will be in effect as of the date of notification.
3. GENERAL POLICY: The PROVIDER does not give out CLIENT names, user names, passwords, addresses, telephone numbers, payment information, or any other biographical or historical-use information to any outside party for any reason.
4. SIGNUP SYSTEM: The online signup system used by most CLIENTs to register for the PROVIDER's service is not directly connected to the Internet, and cannot be accessed from the Internet. CLIENTS using that system to provide personal information and credit cards cannot have their information intercepted by any party on the Internet. Once a CLIENT has registered for service, the system disconnects that computer, and they connect to the Internet in the normal fashion.
5. SALES OF USER LISTS: The PROVIDER does not sell its user lists, email addresses or any other biographical information to outside parties. This information may be made available to partner organizations to alert CLIENTs of additional benefits and services they may take advantage of.
6. ACCESSIBILITY OF INFORMATION: The PROVIDER maintains its client database on a secure system, but one which is accessible from the Internet. This practice is necessary to allow the various partner organizations (such as support services and enhanced products and services organizations) to interface with the database to provide premium service. This information is password protected and encoded. We utilize an industry-standard client database system which is recognized for security. Checks for security upgrades on this system are performed at least monthly, and all upgrades are completed within one (1) week of receipt.
7. TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION: The PROVIDER does transmit some CLIENT information, specifically credit card numbers and other payment information, over the Internet to a billing service provider. This information is transmitted using a secure socket layer (SSL) process to a registered server for that organization. The PROVIDER does not transmit any other personal information via email or over the Internet in any other way.
8. INTERNET ACTIVITY LOGS: The PROVIDER does not maintain any logs of web browsing activity by specific CLIENTs on the Internet, nor is that information available to persons not directly employed by the PROVIDER. We do maintain connection logs, which show when and how long a CLIENT used our service, but they do not include specific sites visited, or the names of files downloaded or uploaded. Connection logs are utilized for technical and administrative purposes only, and are not given out, nor are they accessible by the general public. Link tracking may be utilized to determine which links on a service web site are used the most frequently, however, specific CLIENT IDs are not collected during that process.
9. EMAIL MESSAGES: Employees of the PROVIDER do not routinely read or monitor email messages sent by or to our CLIENTs. On occasion, an employee may ask a CLIENT's permission to download mail messages in order to fix a problem with the mailbox. This will only be at the CLIENT's request, in an attempt to fix a problem reported by the CLIENT. In such cases, the messages downloaded by the employee will be deleted immediately upon the resolution of the problem, and will not be read by that employee.
10. REQUESTS FOR COOPERATION: The PROVIDER occasionally receives request of cooperation from persons or entities, including law enforcement organizations, asking for specific user information. While we cooperate with authorities on other matters, we require a court order to release any specific information about a CLIENT to any persons or entities, including law enforcement.
11. QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS REGARDING POLICY: Any questions or complaints regarding this POLICY should be directed to support@a-znet.com. |
